justlikeme, There are many benefits from developing, a strong pc muscle group, including firmer erections, better ejaculation control, and reducing the risk of prostrate cancer. I have to believe that, since the pc muscles can stop urine flow, that the same strong muscles have to help stop unwanted and untimly urinating.

Well, all I can say the pc muscle has to do with peeing also. Because I did 300 kegels (every 30th I hold for 10 sec). Well I did them like 3 am two days in a row. The 3rd day I went to bathroom all the time lol, like 10-15 times. I couldnt hold either, only little. But the problem went away after some day, and now it' stronger I guess.

guyslikeme and AnderS,
This post was about using the pc muscle to control bed wetting or urinary incontinence. While incontenence is not a disease, the bladder is definitely controled best by using kegels to develop a strong pc muscle.
Among the causes of urinary incontinence are infection, some diseases, drugs (including over-the-counter cold and allergy medications), back injury, surgery, enlarged prostrate, smoking and obesity.
Besides using the pc muscle to control incontinence other ways are: Try to avid things that irritate the bladder, including caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, chocolate and artificial sweetners; Do bladder training to empty the bladder on schedule to prevent accidents; and Drink lots of water to flush the bladder, but in frequent sips to avoid filling the bladder to quickly. Cranberry juice is also good for flushing impurities from the bladder.

Has anybody had problems controlling you bladder, as 13 million Americans do, and found improvement by doing Kegels, the most efective way?

i am a 45 y/o mentally retarded male and still wets the bed. i think there are other reasons for bed wetting beside a weak pc. i figure since i am mentally retarded i have a slower problem that makes it difficult to control.
